Top driver extends lead
The second round of the 2008/2009 championship.
The track was mainly dry this time round, with just some light drizzle to entertain the drivers.
Times this month were much faster than round one. The top 16 drivers all qualifing under 1:05. Top 3 qualifiers were Ashley, Steve and Jody, all in the 1:02's.
Jody again leapt into the lead on the first lap, holding everybody off , to finish in 1st place, again scoring maximum championship points. Steve finished 2nd after a brief battle with Nick, and after qualifying in 7th place, Pete managed to pull it back into 3rd place.
By the end of the event two drivers went sub 1:02. Jody placed a 1.01..912, but the fastest driver on the day was Rupert with a 1.01.594 on the penultimate lap.
